Before you start reading, you may want to open the link for the 2003 charts, which you can find below.
The charts start with our top 10 songs in 2003, based on their popularity. Our winner is Virgill with two of his songs listed. Interesting enough, that the top 10 songs contain only songs from 5 different artists. Just a short comment whether ctgmusic is a trance site: well, there are only 4 trance songs in the top 10, from 2 artists, and the top song is by no chance a trance song either.
Our top 10 artists are more diversified, but led again by Virgill. It is interesting that not all our artists, who are represented in the top 10 songs, can be found also here. It is also interesting, that our top artists are only from trance, experimental and other genres.
More top songs, artists and members can be found on Top Of 2003 at charts section.
At the moment we have 378 artists (members with songs), which gives an average of 4 songs per artist. In fact though, we have artists with over 30 songs online, Storm, CM and Funky Fish.
At the moment statistically every song has been downloaded 28 times, but also, every 7th downloader left a review for the downloaded song. Though, in fact we have song with over 300 downloads and we have song with over 30 reviews.
Our best rated song (with over 5 reviews) has an average of 9.3 rate, which means the song became a "very big hit". We have 8 songs (with over 5 reviews) a rate better than 9, so we can conclude ctgmusic contains 8 possible top hit releases.
We have 600 members (no songs on ctg), well, apparently it seems not all of them are active. Our most active members these days are subteck, Patrick Grrove, Akisey. Thanks for them the support, the reviews, the comments, the forum replies.
Our most represented country here is definitely Finland. But the list continues with the Nordic countries, Sweden and Norway. Interesting, that Austria, Ireland, or Bulgaria is represented only by one member so far, not talking about countries which are not represented at all. So we know where we have to seek new artists, right?
Our most represented genre is trance, and there comes the genre 'other'. Well, I know sometimes it is hard to categorize your song to genres - I know it from experience - but, maybe it is advisable to choose proper genres: and you know how to add one, right? Our popular genres follows with techno, easy listening, ambient, and so on.
Do you know who opened the most forum topic so far (excluding staff)? Of course it was obScene, but you can find in the top list Patrick Groove, Anoxxia, Slog, cdnalsi, and so on. Interesting enough that we have artists who opened a bit less topics, but are on the top list on forum replies, like Kricke, Storm, N.D., Analysis, and so on.
In fact we have negative charts as well. The charts of rippers, the chart of bad reviewers, reviewers of own songs, artists with fake accounts. I will not list those names here, they would ruin the birthday feeling.
The list could go on and on. I like statistics, though not many of us do that. Numbers can be important for some of us, positions and lists are not important for many of us. You can think in different ways, but one thing is for sure: the artists who are on any of the lists deserve respect and congratulations. The artists who are not on the list deserves just the same respect and congratulations, because of their support and activity.
